Triple Crown Sports, a national leader in youth and collegiate athletics event management, is excited to announce that it has acquired the St. Louis Softball Showcase, one of the Midwest’s premier recruiting and competition events.
Now in its 30th year, the St. Louis Showcase has built a reputation as one of the most respected softball showcases in the country—bringing together elite athletes, competitive programs, and college coaches from across the nation. Founded by Patrick Rice and guided for more than a decade by his daughter, Lisa Frischer, the event has long served as a cornerstone of opportunity for young women pursuing their softball and academic dreams.
The five-game format highlights elite 14u through 18u teams on 16 premier fields, creating the ideal stage for athletes to showcase their abilities and connect with college coaches.
“Triple Crown Sports is honored to carry on the incredible 30-year legacy of the St. Louis Showcase, founded by Patrick Rice and carried forward with passion and dedication by his daughter, Lisa Frischer,” said Krista Crawford, Fastpitch Director for Triple Crown Sports. “We’re excited to continue building the Triple Crown Fastpitch brand in the heart of the country and to preserve an event that has given so many young women the opportunity to compete, showcase their skills, and earn college scholarships. Lisa Frischer shared her excitement about the next chapterfor the event:
“It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to witness this tournament grow and bring people together year after year. What began more than 30 years ago with me helping my dad shag balls has evolved into something truly special, and today I am honored to own and operate it. I am deeply grateful to the teams, families, coaches, vendors, and the entire community whose unwavering support and enthusiasm have made its success possible.
As we enter an exciting new chapter with Triple Crown, I do so with immense pride and optimism for the future. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Celeste for her years of tireless dedication—her passion and commitment have been greatly valued and will not be forgotten.
